I'm hurting

My body's aching terribly. My face is sun-burnt,my calves and thighs are sore , my back hurts , my toes are blistered and it's a real chore even getting out of bed. All because i decided to join the boys for a street-soccer match yesterday afternoon.and the sun was unforgiving i tell you. I'm really getting too old for this. Ten minutes into the match and i was panting as if i just climbed mount everest.it's crazy. Anyway , recently , everyone at the shop has been really busy with our full time jobs that we've been finding it hard to make it down to the shop. But rest assured, we would never neglect our passion so all you gotta do is call . i stay like ten minutes away . just give me a call and i'll be there asap. i promise. This month's been really fun. i got to do a few black and grey pieces, my favourite and sean is working on a shark with its jaws all open on a client's kneecap which looks absolutely awesome. Although the walk-ins hasn't been fantastic anyhoooo, it's picking up. We're thinking of getting a mini-fridge into the shop soon and create our own mini bar. how cool is that. Happy Fucking 2008 !!!!

It's a new year . Time really flies... It's our third month here at 555 and things couldn't be any better , judging by how people are beggining to hear of us and the walk-ins we're getting , it's way better than i expected and in such a short time . Like just the other day , we had a guy who came by after he found our blog and decided to choose us to tattoo him and his girlfriend... let me just say that this guy really did his homework when it came to choosing a design and the shop where he would get inked and he was not disappointed . Then again i'm just assuming from the list of tattoo shops and pictures he had in this clear folder that he brought and the way he was very sure of what he wanted .don't see that very often. I'm impressed.

Just last night , i was talking to this Former 98.7 DJ and he said that he always wanted a tattoo but it has to mean something to him.Well though everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, here's the thing . It's not dumb or a bad thing to get a tattoo that doesn't have a deeper meaning to it like those over-exaggerated stories on Miami Ink ...even if it's just for the design , that's sweet... but most importantly make sure that you're sure... impulse and tattoos don't go hand-in-hand,trust me. i've gotten a few.it's kind of like errrr... beer and strawberry milk...Argh... you know what i mean

But still once in a while , we do get people who come in to the shop and try to bargain the price of the tattoo , this is even before they've seen our port folios and stuff and comparing our charges ( which are way below the market rate by the way ) with badly done leg pieces or arm pieces they've gotten from else where . Please understand. It's quality over quantity. It's that simple and if that's too hard to understand ... KINDLY TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSE WHERE.NOT INTERESTED. Other than that , the clients we've gotten so far are really appreciative and have been really nice and that's really encouraging for us in our narrow-minded country.
